Named Spud

An Idaho Guy named spud

Drives a big truck with mud flaps

Growing potatoes has made him famous

Sort of like the Amos who makes cookies

The earth on his land sticks to his boots

An American flag waves in front of his house

There is a hunting rifle in front of his truck window

He goes off into the forest with Idaho friends

They drink a few beers and they hunt for venison

A buck with long antlers which he'll hang on the wall.

His wife won't let him sleep in on Sunday mornings

He refuses to wear a tie prefers cowboy shirts and boots

He has a crew cab truck and it takes all of them to church.

Every morning he goes for coffee at a small cafe

The sign in the front reads Sadie's cafe 

He talks with other farmers as he drinks coffee

It all about politics from a farmer's point of view

It's all about big government and how it controls 

everything and everybody and taxes are to high 

His name is Spud and he's an Idaho guy
