Lost in the Shuffle

There are so many lonely people

who are standing and lost 

in the shuffle.

They are waiting and hoping

for someone to stop and

talk to them.

So many lost in the shuffle

praying that one day there

they will meet and make

their very first friend.

But no one stops

and no one sees them.

I wonder what will become

of all of those who are lost

in the shuffle.

I stop as often as I can

and do my best to get to know

those lost in the shuffle and lonely.
