Christmas Babies

I remember so many Christmases with babies
and I am glad we have granddaughters
who bring anticipation to Christmas.
This is my first Christmas painting and I
thought that after Mary had her baby and
Joseph stood by her, the angels must have
wanted to hold the baby Jesus,
I know about holding newborn babies
we had four of them though now they
are all grown up and live with their
soul mates.

When you hold a newborn child
in your arms you feel hope for
our world and it is so exciting.
Babies are innocent and they
are our hope for changes in
humankind.
Jesus was born in a barn
on a bed of straw
everything so ordinary and humble
yet we know Jesus was the hope
of the world.

I get excited when I think about
Jesus' birth, and find new hope
for our troubled world.
Even after his birth he was humble
and he grew up in an ordinary family.
He was humble all of his life
and so loving and caring.
He was innocent his whole life
and yet he was murdered .
Jesus could have called on legions
of angels to save him
and saved his life.
But instead he chose
to die for us.

Though he led a humble life
the example he set
showed that there may be
peace and love in our world.
Jesus became an example
for all of us
for peace and love
and everything good.

I embrace the love
that he gave to all of us
and  the hope he gave for all of us
Right now I see the infant child
whose name is Jesus
and I wish I could hold him
in my arms and keep him safe.
Tis the same thing I wished for
all of my children.

Diamonds

The day will come when what we value;
like gold or diamonds won't be worth much.
A loaf of bread on the other hand
will be worth a lot more than
a bag of GOLD or a bag of DIAMONDS.
The same may be true of famous
paintings like the Mona Lisa.
The day will come when our banks
are closed forever
and money will  mean nothing.

When that time begins
some people will suddenly leave.
They call that time the second coming
and those people leaving
are those who will be raptured,
taken away to heaven.
The rest of the peopl
will be left behind
because they didn't give
their lives to Jesus Christ.

Things will be tough for two thousand years.
Many people wil suffer awful torture.
During that time they can choose Christ
but the price for that will be their lives.
You see that's the time that the devil's
antichrist  will reign.
Many people will be decieved.
But Christ will return and judge everyone.

Just something to think about.
No one knows the hour or the day.
But everything written
in Revelation, the last book of the bible
will happen as it is written there.

The Angry House

Some days I wonder why the angry house
 doesn't condemn itself.
There is so much yelling, fighting and
hurting each other, parents and sisters
and brothers and relatives.
They have all agreed to be angry
when ever they feel like that
and somebody always seems to get hurt.

But in an angry house, no one knows
how of when or why all of that anger
began in their house and yet
it seems that no one is looking
for solutions and peace.
Those people keep living like that
and things continue to get worse.

As for me, I don't see why they
don't try forgiveness and let go
of  all of their anger.
I see that a peaceful house is possible
and everyone would be be so much happier.

The Elephant and the Mouse

There is an old myth that says elephants
and mice can never be friends, because the
elephant is afraid of the mouse, and fear
stands is the way of their relationship.
But that is really a parable about human
beings and how they reject and even hate
things that they are afraid of.

But there are so many kinds of fears
we may be afraid that we will become
like the same people we are afraid of.
So we don't believe we can live
in peace with what we are afraid of
and sometimes that leads to war
or fights, or labels or name calling.

But my painting shows what I believe.
We can all live in peace if we let go
of all of our fears.
We can even learn to love and accept
each other and celebrate our differences.
As for me, I choose peace and I refuse
to live in fear.

Spirits At Home Here

You may look at this painting and ask
"Why are there so many faces?"
Before I answer I must say that I am
not talking about ghosts.
I am talking about spirits from two places.
Dark spirits used to be called demons
and they belong to a very evil realm.
Angels are also watching and getting
involved with our lives.
Demons are fallen angels and they may
try to fools us and make us feel they are good.

A good question to ask is, "what kind of spirits
are living in my house?"
Choices we make, things that we bring in
our houses, and also what we do or say
can let dark spirits into our homes,
and they affect everyone in our families.
But if God is invited into our homes,
we can expel the dark spirits by telling
them to leave in Jesus' name.
That may make our homes a good place
to live and no dark spirits will harm us.

Of course you may say, "I don't believe in
spirits dark or angels that watch over us."
That is a choice that we are free to make,
but there may be consequences that we
don't like, though we may blame  them
on other things.
We are free to choose how to use this
warning, or how to ignore it.
But YES, there are spirits, dark spirits.
